Hi all

Assuming that the 'crock pot' is what we in UK call a 'slow cooker' the
answer is yes, put a little water in the base of the pot, fill with comb
fragments inspect every 5 or six hours and add more comb, until the amount
of liquid reasonably fills the pot, decant into plastic pudding basins and
repeat the process.

Throughput is not high, but it is not very laborious either.

The power usage is small and the temperature is not high enough to damage
the wax or cause ignition of the contents.

This method is ideal for many small scale hobby beekeepers that might not
otherwise bother with wax recycling.
