On a TV show here in the US called "ER" while the more experienced and savvy staff look on, the pretty, well heeled drug company rep smoozes, and befriends the clueless med students with junk food and marketing trinkets and relentlessly follows people around the ER talking up the latest broad spectrum antibiotic, continuously stuffing company pens in everyone's pockets, ..the dashing Dr Luca Kovach gets irritated, keeps taking the pens out of his pocket and throwing them in the trash and walking away from her, ...the rep finally gets his attention by offering some freebies to take on his next trip to the congo - she thinks this will win his favor - he instead blast her for offering ridiculously expensive drugs and for not offering a new and reasonably priced malaria treatment, and then picking up a trash can angrily goes all around the ER throwing all her marketing junk in the trash can, ...the rep follows him trying to pick up her junk off the floor and out of the trash cans and calmly says she'll come back when he is not so busy............ sound familiar? In other parts of the show Dr Luca repeatedly, often to the point of exasperation, demonstrates and explains how, for example, >$4,000 worth of unnecessary treatments, procedures and drugs could be avoided with much more appropriate and drastically less costly care. Wouldn't it be great for Dr Luca to take on the hazards and cost of formula!
