My hospital recently had the same problem with Ross and Similac Advance. We suddenly found the Advance version stocked on our shelves and were told that the Similac with Iron was no longer available. Next, we were told that they are still available, but would cost something like $90 per case instead of the $8 that we were paying for the Advance. I e-mailed all of Marsha's suggestions (the same ones from her post today) to our purchasing person and never heard back from her. I had pretty much given up on the whole situation when, just this week, we suddenly found ourselves stocked with 4 oz glass bottles of Similac with Iron ready to feed. Again, no explanation. I e-mailed our purchasing person to get the scoop, but haven't heard back from her yet. I'll fill everyone in on what worked for us as soon as I find out what it was!! Anyway, for those of you who've had the product switched on you, don't give up. Thanks again to Marsha and also to Linda Smith and Laurie Wheeler for all of your suggestions. They were extremely helpful.
