Hello..recently we had a Hispanic patient who had a 'drink' that family = brought in that was to help her milk supply. I haven't seen this = before. It was white, looked like a cornstarch preparation, thick like = gravy would be, not much odor. Anyone familiar with this and does it = have any real 'scientific' benefit?? Thanks Lucy do you know where the family is from exactly? if it's mexico, it's very common for new moms to be advised to drink horchata for their milk. this is a thick rice milk based drink. i have always heard it promoted as something that will make her milk milder and ease fussiness/gas in the baby moreso than something to increase supply, though. that was the only drink i could think of fitting your description, sorry if it's no help. are you able to ask them the name of the drink and what's in it ? ~jacqui gruttadauria "bobo, what are you doing to deedle?" "pankin him butt, mumma" "bobo, we don't spank in this house" "ony pank him outside, mumma?" *********************************************** To temporarily stop your subscription: set lactnet nomail To start it again: set lactnet mail (or digest) To unsubscribe: unsubscribe lactnet All commands go to [log in to unmask] The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(TM) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
