Chandos once released a completion by William Carrogan played by the Oslo Philharmonic/Yoav Talmi. This could be the one you have in mind, although I don't know Carrogan's nationality nor whether the Chandos is currently available. Such of Wildner's conducting as I've heard doesn't make me confident of a heaven-storming 9th from him, but he may well surprise us. The first time I heard the extra movement, I was driven to distraction trying to work out what it was. I knew all the symphonies well enough to know it was none of them, so it had to be someone who sounded incredibly like Bruckner. When all was revealed, I managed to restrain myself from strangling the person who played it to me, but only just. Richard Pennycuick [log in to unmask]
