While researching a completely unrelated topic I came across U.S.
patent 6,586,610, "Method for removing coumafos from beeswax", filed
in April of last year. The patent is not for an object or device
but a methodology for the removal of coumafos. A search of the Bee-L
archives didn't turn up any discussion on the subject. Has anyone
had any experience, with specific measurement and monitoring, to
determine the validity of this particular method?

The patent particularly caught my eye considering the current debate
regarding tainted Chinese honey. Any input would be appreciated,
especially if this methodology in turn is able to simultaneously
remove additional contamination of other residual compounds.
