FYI LCs/Nurses: I just completed a free continuing education (CE) program
entitled "The Role of Topical Antibiotics in Dermatologic Practice" which
addresses moist wound healing, occlusive dressings, triple antibiotic
ointments, neomycin allergy (reported to be negligible despite widespread
belief to the contrary). I found it quite applicable to LC practice.
Certificates are available to those who are not receiving nurse or MD CE
credit. I cannot find the exact link, as I am a subscriber to Medscape
nursing, ob/gyn, and peds emails. But I would think you could do a search
and find this.
