It will run on Windows XP, but to make it the default, you must go to MyComputer/Tools/Folder Options/File Types For AudioCD click advanced then edit: Action should be play and Application should be C:\WINNT\system32\cdplayer.exe "%1" (if you placed the exe file in C:\WINNT\system32) Then open Media player, click options then file types and make sure Audio CD tracks is not selected.
