David Rothstein wrote of Maria Stader:

She was something of a house performer for DG back in the 60s, and
I second David's opinion.  Two others that come to mind are Mozart's
Coronation Mass, a wonderfully vibrant but very non-HIP performance
conducted by Igor Markevitch, and Il Seraglio, conducted by Ferenc
Fricsay and featuring another of DG's house singers, Rita Streich.
