I have still to add this to a collection of American >music. I still think the first Bernstein was the best (Sony, now). It had that raw energy, drive, and sense of space and wonder I've always liked. It does have a cut in the middle section. I keep the Ormandy around to have an uncut version. I never cared for the later DG recording. I heard that concert live and was disappointed then, and the recording did nothing to change my mind. Roger Hecht <[log in to unmask]>
