I just took a quick look at this paper (Br J Cancer, 2003; 88:1035-1037).
It appears that they compared feeding method to childhood cancer DEATHS. I
believe that prior papers just looked at incidence of cancer (diagnosis,
not survival). If this is the case, then this paper cannot really be used
to refute the protective effect of breastfeeding on the occurrence of
childhood cancer.
