The only known sensitization was to latex bottle nipples and/or pacifiers. (Episodic Stridor With Latex Nipple Use in a 2-Month-Old Infant) I am one of those poor unfortunate souls who has developed an anaphylactic reaction to even tiny amounts of latex. I would not have parents sensitize their children for anything. I always recommend the use of silicon instead, and remind parents to never let someone put a latex gloved finger in their baby's mouth.
