Hello, I have been "nomail" for awhile. I work in local hospital and we have been "battling" the nursery re: formula and giving bottles to our breastfeeding moms ...... We are at a really good "fork in the road", and I would like to get monojet syringe supplementation approved versus the SNS system we currently use. We use the starter SNS and also the long-term SNS. You know the problems with flow, positional dependency with flow, and in general just the overwhelming response with moms/nurses with the SNS. The monojet syringe (the little 10cc syringe with the curved tube at tube, commonly used for dental irrigation) is cheaper, easier, and less overwhelming. It is just my opionion that our nurses will be more receptive to this and in turn may cut back on bottles all together - thus have considerable amt. of less problems with BFG. The nursery supervisor said that we need to get some info. re: its use as such and then be able to implement a procedures and guidelines for its use. IS THERE ANYTHING OUT THERE????????? Please help ASAP!!!! THanks!
