This is a little bit of a different posting but I expect some here dream as big as I, and some are as as big as I dream. It seems that some beekeepers qualify for benefits as a business, farm enterprise, etc.. in ways that I do not know about. I have heard that if you pollinate with 25 hives you qualify for commercial license plates. I have heard that farmers do not need building permits and 110 mph structures also. And somebody mentioned something about "right to farm laws" that meant they could keep bees wherever they wanted. So having said these things, my question is: What do the readers of this forum know about such things? I expect some of these things are state specific, but I am curious. How do I learn about these and other things available to me? How do you operate your beekeeping operation above and beyond backyard beekeeping taking advantage of tax/licensure/ and other laws that those aspiring to do more could learn from? And how can I learn about such things to be more profitable?
