We thought of that when we kept losing our expensive thermometers.
Can't be done - those must be used for infants only.  If you start
using them on equipment, it could really get out of hand.  Secruity
would not be happy to find they had dropped what they were doing and
rushed to OB on an alarm to only find out it was a piece of
equipment and not a human emergency!
