Dear Lactnetters, A friend of mine(IBCLC)who works at the health department, got permission from the party involved to post this. I referred my friend to LLLI/Liz Baldwin, as well. My friend emailed to me: "We have a client who works at a day care center who is being told by her boss to formula feed because she wants her to stop taking 20 minutes to pump in the morning and 20 minutes to pump in the afternoon. This mom clocks out when she takes her pump break. She nurses the baby on her lunch break. She feels like pressure is being put on her to make her quit. She wants to know her rights. I told her we have no protective legislation in SC but that we want to document the need for it. I also offered to educate her boss on the benefits of BF." Do you know of any similar cases and how they were resolved? Please email me, as well as posting, if you post. Thanks so much, Diana Diana Roberts, RN,IBCLC Mt Pleasant, SC _________________________________________________________________ Protect your PC - get McAfee.com VirusScan Online http://clinic.mcafee.com/clinic/ibuy/campaign.asp?cid=3963 *********************************************** To temporarily stop your subscription: set lactnet nomail To start it again: set lactnet mail (or digest) To unsubscribe: unsubscribe lactnet All commands go to [log in to unmask] The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(TM) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
