I have bleached my teeth while breast feeding with no ill effects upon my baby. I have also had the "one sitting" bleaching while breast feeding. The newer bleaching materials are very thick and they stay in the tray and on the teeth much better then the first bleaching products that came out years ago. I'm afraid I disagree with the dental person who posted. I find it hard to believe that carbamide peroxide, the tiny bit that you might ingest, would alter the breast milk. However, I do not know that for a fact. My husband is a dentist so needless to say, we both value white teeth. I will continue to bleach my teeth periodically while breast feeding.
