Re the custody case: always very difficult. Not surprising, it seems the father and his family want some control over the decisions re the baby. they may be of the common mindset that formula is 'just as good'. It seems the mother is willing to pump and provide ebm for the overnite visits. Perhaps the father and mother can go to a peds doctor appointment together. The doctor hopefully will state that the baby's health and well being are best served by keeping the baby on an exclusively bf diet. Maybe the paternal side of the family would be more willing to utilize the ebm for feeds. Just a thought. Laurie Wheeler, IBCLC, MN, RN New Orleans Louisiana, s.e.
