Lisa, I see this over and over in my online practice. Mothers see whomever, with *what*ever qualifications. They often give up, after getting help that was not helpful. Once a mother has been "helped," she is unlikely to seek out other help if it doesn't work out. The public has no idea of level of qualification. As long as we have these types of alternate qualifications, we will have shoddy service which will give us all a black eye, as we are only as good as our weakest link. The public has no idea. However, as long as there is money to be made, there will be qualifications to be had. Could it be about money?
