Hello Everyone,

I saw a posting today about a woman that an IBCLC knows who is waiting for
her CLE certificate to come so that she can do consultations.
Unless there is another organization out there, this is the CAPPA
Certification program that I went through, and it states in the manual and
cert. packet that "a CLE provides informational and educational
breastfeeding classes......this program does not issue LC status and does
not qualify one to give medical advice, diagnose medical conditions for
mother or baby, or to prescribe treatment or medications."
If this woman is advertising LC Consultations this info. needs to be
brought to her attention or to CAPPA'S (www.cappa.net) as it is so
important that women get the best care and information possible.
