Dear friends, Ive got this idea from Jeffrey Hall: which recordings do
you enjoy but may not be the favourites of the critics and experts? Let
me start with two examples (IMHO):

MENDELSSOHN & BRUCH VIOLIN CONCERTOS: Ruggiero
Ricci/London Symphony Orchestra/Pierino Gamba (Belart).
(These recordings were neglected by Decca in favour of many other
recordings. The producer responsible for the demonstration- quality
sound is not mentioned. Wonderful performances).

RIMSKY-KORSAKOV: Sheherazade, etc.
The Philadelphia Orchestra/Eugene Ormandy (SONY Essential Classics).
(First class recordings and interpretations. A real bargain).
