Years ago I had one mother who had an extremely sensitive baby, bloody stools and colic The pediatric gastroenterologist who did a worke up bless him said to keep nursing. We worked through many things until we clicked on citrus. The mother was a BIG consumer of orange juice and unfortunately soda. She eliminated both for awhile and and the stools cleared only to reappear when she gave a single dose of tylenol after a DPT injection. As she read the label as to additives sure enough citric acid was on the list - found in most carbonated beverages.
