I've always heard of room temp as being 68-72 degrees F.  When discussing
storage with parents I always point out that room temp does NOT mean an
un-airconditioned room in the heat of summer.  Just like few people actually
know the temp of their freezer (thus we discuss storage time in relation to
the hardness of their ice cream), most don't know off hand the temp of their
house-just whether it's comfortable or not.  Common sense must prevail.
