i have thought about it and tried it.....for a baby who was really an
agressive non-nurser with nothing even coming close to
working.            Lots of help on this one from many people.  Three
great LC's.  Several LLLLers.  Midwives.  Nothing.  This plan didn't
work either since baby would only take one bottle nipple.  The first one
she was fed from at the hospital.  Before then and since then I've never
seen anything like it.  She was more determined *not to nurse* or feed
from any other method (besides several early finger feeds) than any baby
I've ever seen (though in comparison to you all, I've seen very
few)......mostly the homebirth moms who are having trouble.

tempermentally speaking, she was very intense, not very accepting of new
things (needed to be held the same way all the time, fed the same way
etc etc).  now as a three year old she's still that way.  She never did
nurse - never, not even with a nipple shield.  It was heartbreaking for
everyone.
