Have any of you considered such a plan? i have thought about it and tried it.....for a baby who was really an agressive non-nurser with nothing even coming close to working. Lots of help on this one from many people. Three great LC's. Several LLLLers. Midwives. Nothing. This plan didn't work either since baby would only take one bottle nipple. The first one she was fed from at the hospital. Before then and since then I've never seen anything like it. She was more determined *not to nurse* or feed from any other method (besides several early finger feeds) than any baby I've ever seen (though in comparison to you all, I've seen very few)......mostly the homebirth moms who are having trouble. tempermentally speaking, she was very intense, not very accepting of new things (needed to be held the same way all the time, fed the same way etc etc). now as a three year old she's still that way. She never did nurse - never, not even with a nipple shield. It was heartbreaking for everyone. katherine in atl *********************************************** The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(TM) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
