I have a mom that has been admitted because her water broke at 34 weeks. Baby's lungs are not mature so they are trying to hold off delivery. This was a planned home birth so mom is very distraught. Curiously she reports being able to feel a "let-down" tingley feeling. No report of "milk". I was wondering if her body thinks the baby might have been delivered because the water has broke and is beginning lactation. Will she have more trouble initiating lactation after the baby's birth? Just curious as I have limited experience (thank goodness) with prematurity and lactation.
