These comments about the study on intelligence will raise the hair on the back of many of us...Why are they making so little of the intelligence difference with breastfeeding. If it were turned around and it were formula feeding that were in question, it seems that there would be a bigger flutter about it all. Make it 'with formula, your baby possibly won't be as intelligent as he/she might be with breast milk.' To most parents even a little IQ difference is worth it. If you want the best for your baby then you would breastfeed...for all the reasons. At the end of the note it says: "There are plenty of reasons for women to breastfeed their babies. Possible marginal increases in IQ do not need to be added to the list." How dare they make light of this! And isn't it more that the true potential of a particular baby with all the genetics encased in his/her body will be potentiated with breast milk? Why make light of that?? That's all for now!
