Carrie wrote about the difficulty one of her mothers had feeding a congested
baby at night.  The paeds suggestion of a possible milk allergy is
worthwhile to pursue and it can't be properly tested while the mother
contains some dairy food in her diet.  The other suggestion to help
alleviate some of the symptoms is to put one or two drops of saline down
each nostril--it often clears congestion by loosening secretions.  This can
easily be made at home --add a level teaspoon of salt to 500mls of cooled
boiled water
