The Lactation Specialist at our local hospital has left and the position is open. But do they want an IBCLC? No, they want a RN, preferably with IBCLC or just bfing experience. So once again they missed doing the right thing. But I am planning on sending job descriptions along with my CV, and an application to everyone I can think of at the hospital so IF anyone reads it they may think about what is really needed to get the job done. Am I dreaming or what? And as for why I am in a bad mood, my computer crashed while I was at LLLI and I lost almost all my files. I had some backed up to disk but not much. I have written 11 grants and received 9 this year at the health dept and they were all on my computer, along with the end of the year reports. I have paper copies but that's it. And to add insult to injury all the tech support consultants are male who immediately say in this incredulous voice "What, you didn't save your files on back up disks?" To which I want to reply just go ahead and make fun of this stupid woman! Then they installed a bunch of software that I have no use for, and none of the software that I really need. I even asked my husband didn't he want to take early retirement, me quit my job and we take the youngest child and go on an extended camping trip, home school, visit all the sucessful lactation centers across America and enjoy the camping. He said no, we have to pay off the wedding and the credit cards. Phooey.
