Exactly! The classical music business is clearly changing, but it's
not dying. There is more classical music being made than any of us
can possibly consume even working at it full time. Since I first got
interested in classical music some forty or more years ago, never has
there been such a treasure trove of old and new recorded performances,
and opportunities to hear live music. As long as a mere 5% of the "market"
wants to hear it, there will be artists and impresarios who will bring it
to us. Yes, there will be crass commercial interests who will try to find
a way to make "big bucks" doing so, but they will fail and will eventually
take their hucksterism elsewhere.
