Katherine D wrote about a 6 yo girl who slept with her parents, none of them wearing clothes, and her father gave her a backrub at nights. The child was taken away from her parents. What do you ladies think, this could be a cultural issue, couldn't it. I come from a country where 'every' family has its own sauna, people have saunas both at their homes and summer cottages. We are used to going to sauna naked, with our moms, dads, siblings, and we even invite our guests to come to sauna with us, naked of course. Women, men and children all happily together. It is a part of our culture. Sleeping together naked is not unheard of. We do it, many families do it, not all, but many. From Katherine D's example I understand there may have been an underlying fear of possible insest, and there seemed to be other issues in that family as well, but otherwise, personally, I see nothing 'weird' in a 6 yo girl sleeping naked with her naked parents, not even with a parent rubbing a child's back. Of course a situation like that might, in some cases, be on the weird side, but normally, I wouldn't be the least surprised if someone told this is what happens in their family. "A mother breastfeeding her walking male child is a pervert", and "parents sleeping together naked with their female child cannot be normal". Or am I mistaken? Why are we so aftraid of touching other people, our own family, or are we afraid of ourselves?
