How long do hospitals leave healthy, full term newborns who aren't feeding before
testing them for hypoglycemia. I can find lots of papers on what is normal
levels of blood glucose but nothing back a step - about when to test. Some
places seem to routinely test at about 4-6 hours and other places say don't
get worried if the healthy baby isn't feeding for 48 hours. So that's a big
difference in practice. I need some reference, someone's protocol, something
written down about the 'accepted' length the baby can be left alone.

Thanks!
