Dear Heather,

True, true, however, mom's nutrition may start to suffer if she is eating
poorly since the baby will be sharing her nutrients. I'm thinking about her
more in this situation. There are nutrients which do not depend on maternal
intake (Zinc, Calcium, Iron, and some others- sorry, my references are at
work) and those which do (mostly B vitamins). I agree that maternal diet is
not so important to the infant (fortunately!) but I still think it's
important for the mom.
