I am a pediatric nurse practitioner and IBCLC with 25+ years experience. This toddler plots out on the "standard" growth at 90th percentile for height and 3-10th percentile for weight. I wouldn't be so alarmed as this pedi if the baby's development (motor and social) is normal. I would look at her growth pattern for the entire 15 months. It sounds as if she looks just like her mom -- long and lean. Someone has to look that way to contrast the rest of us that are short and round! I usually encourage whatever foods the baby will eat, offer a variety of things and keep BF. When you place too much emphasis on forcing a toddler to eat they resist mightily! I would usually follow such a toddler with monthly weighings to reassure the mom. I think the pedi should relax and also live with a picky toddler eater for a week or two!!
