This is interesting, though how a nurse could "freak out" because of a weight gain is beyond me. ;-) My own daughter did not have an older sibling nursing as well, but never lost any weight, and only gained it starting 2 days post-partum. I was able to totally soak 2 kleenex by extracting colostrum before I actually gave birth, and I know I could easily extract about 2 tbsp or so on day +2 after delivery out of one breast.
