Has anyone tried homepathy with this baby? Surely this is worth a try before sacraficing breastfeeding. One caution, if cow milk is really the issue, then any homeopathic remedy given should be in a vegetable glycerine base (or an alcohol base burned off in hot water), not the powdery white lactose base (derived from cow milk). I would strongly urge that the mom find a qualified homeopathic practitioner instead of tinkering herself. If she can't find one, she can try going to my site http://www.birthpartners.com/listing.asp?C=1&Pro=LACCON&ID=502 and finding a local link for one near her. If she really wants to try something herself, there are compound homeopathic formulations available for dairy allergy as well as other types from NSP. In order to not sound like an ad, if you need more info, please feel free to contact me privately. To give you an idea of the type of remedies, it is common to treat anal bleeding with Natrum Muriaticum and homeopathic sulfur and Veratrum album for bleeding rectal fissures. --Chris Hafner-Eaton, PhD, MPH, CHES, IBCLC [log in to unmask] €€€INFANT CUISINE AND MOTHER CARE: LACTATION CONSULTING & PERINATAL CARE€€€ 1807 NW Beca Ave., Corvallis, Oregon 97330 541-753-7340 mom, wife, active UU church member, educator, lactation consultant, homeschool mom, researcher, scientist, author, organic gardener, photographer, wilderness adventurer, lapidary creator, lousy cleaner;) *********************************************** The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(TM) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
