I'm convinced that's one of the reasons these books are so very popular.... And she obviously is totally unaware of the chemistry of breastmilk -- that CCK is released when bf in both mom & baby and causes sedation; that babies are DESIGNED to fall asleep during nursing -- in fact, it seems that most of them do up until about 3 months. I suspect that's because they probably SHOULD. But both BW & SBW (Baby(un)wise and Secrets of Baby Whisperer -- how quaint!) completely ignore the physiology of what occurs during infant feeds. Blech. But I did order it from Amazon, and will be reading it -- need to be armed for the masses of folk that think THIS is the greatest thing to come down the pike since BW.
