A Brazilian tenor is desperately seeking the French text of Chapelou's
famous aria from "Le postillon de Lonjumeau" ("Mes amis ecoutez
l'histoire...").  It is easy to find the German version ("Freunde,
vernehmet die Geschichte...), but not the original one.  Can anyone help?
