Because no one calls them on it. I, for one, am waiting for that first big suit. (Well publicized I hope) $ speaks louder to HCPs than all of our education or their guidelines! And BF takes too long to help in the office! Time is money. AIM is quick and easy, requires no thought or work (and cynically - gets you lots of repeat business as you try formulas and take care of otitis and other increased ills.) Personally I just wish they'd keep their mouths shut, formula in the cupboard and refer the mom! That's what I try to do.
