Yesterday I mailed my application to Juilliard (I plan to study piano there). One of the many reasons I am sure it will be a fascinating experience (assuming I get accepted, which is an assumption I am not so daring as to make) is that I have never been to New York City before... While browsing www.juilliard.edu today, I noted the following: Paul Hall is where most musicians present recitals during their training and many master classes take place. Morse Hall, a smaller space with complete flexibility in seating configuration... Translation: we never know how the janitors are going to set up the folding chairs?:) Michael Cooper [log in to unmask]
