Hello All- In the facility where I used to work we switched to gentian violet as a first line Rx for thrush a few years ago because we just weren't getting much response from nystatin. I have just taken a job at a level III hospital where they are still using nystatin to treat the NICU babies. The neonatologists are willing to look at changing to gentian violet, they want some references, and I can't find them in my files. Does any of you have this info handy? TIA, and by the way, thanks to everyone who responded to my request for Spanish phrases for the LC: you guys/gaias are wonderful, so helpful and knowledgeable!
