As I just wrote in a posting, I'm not sure I'm sold on Bax, though I find
his 3rd, 4th, and 5th symphonies the most persuasive.  And among his tone
poems, I find Tinagel irresistible and the rest to be good stuff.   His
chamber music, whether on Hyperion or Naxos, is excellent to my ears as
well.  I have come to know most of his works though the Thomson/Chandos
editions.

None of his music is downright disappointing.
