Reply to Robert Cordes, DO from Shirley Morris, RN, IBCLC, LMT. I use the sns often, and the key to it's working is helping the mom with it until she can do it alone. Some multips can use it after one demonstration, most need two to three sessions of help. It is a tremendous help for sleepy babies, nipple confused babies, and you can finger feed with it. I know the Hazelbaker fingerfeeder is good, but some hospitals don't have it yet. The sns is invaluable, along with support from a kind, skilled lactation helper. *********************************************** The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(TM) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
