The pediatrician should be directed to Ruth Lawrence MD's book, BF: A Guide
for the Medical Profession.  This need for simultaneous treatment is
documented there. Since yeast is communicable, it stands to reason that this
is a communicable disease....it is contracted by babies through the birth
canal, etc. There should be no need for a study on this one. It is
communicable disease, 101.

I sense that there is an underlying *real* issue here of "Heh, if *I* didn't
think of it, it can't be a good idea."  It is a power struggle, not a real
issue about yeast.
