I'd be hesitant to throw out 90% have problems intitiating bf because it
gives moms the idea that breastfeeding is difficult, painful and a lot of
work.  I doubt we know how many moms have problems.  If moms do have
problems, it can, many times, be traced to hospital interventions.  As a
lay counselor (who also goes into a local hospital to bf moms), I
certainly don't think 90% of the moms I counsel have problems intitiating
bf.

I would just caution us against painting a picture of breastfeeding as
difficult/problematic.
