If you had to select 10 compositions to introduce someone to classical
music which ones would you choose? Remember, you don't want to turn
them off with works that are hard to understand. They should include
symphonies, concertos, and trios, quartets and piano works.

I would choose these

Chopin's Polonaise in Ab Op 53
Chopin's "Winter Wind" Etude op25 # 11
Beethoven's 3rd Symphony
Beethoven's 5th Concerto
Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto
Mendlessohn's G min concerto
Grieg's A min concerto
Mozart's Eine Kline Nach Music (spelling?)
Mozart (there are so many good ones, I just can't decide)
Tchaikovsky's 1st piano concerto
Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto

Any comments,
