The artistic level suffers, too, let's not pretend. MIDI still has a long way to catch up on the Saturday morning cartoons, to name just one example. While the old WarnerBrothers cartoons, Bugs Bunny and the lot, had a 55-piece crack studio orchestra accompanying the fabulous animation, now you have chirpy little midi noises occuring at the same time as the computerized animation, and with none of the humor and timing of the old music.
