Mats Norrman [log in to unmask] [No, according to Andrew Jackson's Neilsen works list linked from the Neilsen page at Classical Net, these are different works. The Polka in A (FS 1, the FS stands for Dan Fog and Torben Schousboe's their catalog of Neilsen's works) is a very early work for violin composed in 1874. I don't believe it was published in Neilsen's lifetime, but I can't tell for sure here at work. Neilsen's first published work is the "Little Suite for Strings" Op. 1 composed in 1888. -Dave]
