One more comment on positioning...it changes. To the woman who says "my nurse last night says the baby was on well," I reply, the baby may start well and slide down, or he may work his way up to a good latch, but either may make the mother sore and not stimulate the breasts. Also, just because the baby gets on well one time does not guarantee he will latch well the next time. The mother needs to learn to recognize for herself a good latch. This approach really helps in not putting anyone else down.
