Well, I'm going out on a limb, but here it goes... While I know we would all like this mom's issue to be about breastfeeding, it isn't. It is very difficult (and maybe unrealistic) in the US to claim breastfeeding is an issue at the age of 2. However, this appears to be about a mother who is the primary caregiver for 2 children. She has no family close by, her husband is on the road/out of town for work and they are not wealthy people who can just hire a babysitter/nanny at a moment's notice. A clerk of jurors does not have the authority to tell a mother to leave her children to serve jury duty. A judge is also off base by ordering a mother to serve jury duty and neglect her children. We all know that if she left them alone she would be charged with neglect. Hopefully, this will turn out in the mother's favor. I believe, IMNSHO, that the real issue is lack of childcare and realistic expectations of mothers, not breastfeeding.
