Nadine Meylan-Meertens mentioned three string quartet groups she thinks highly of: Petersen, Sine Nomine, and Carmina. I must be getting behind the curve as I haven't been keeping up with their recordings. I do have the string quartets from Szymanowski/Carmina on Denon, but that's all. However, the Carmina and Petersen Quartets have reaped many excellent reviews. Concerning the Sine Nomine Quartet, Claves is issuing a new recording of Mozart string quartets. It's good to have list members who remind me of the fine recordings I have yet to acquire. Don Satz [log in to unmask]
